intro
hello again! you’ve been to my homepage, so you’ve already seen most things you need to know about me from a glance. for everything else, i have this page (and the other ones duh)
i’m a and so that’s what i spend most of my time doing; i’ve pretty much always got some active project going on because i’m one of those people who just cannot sit still, so sometimes i’ll be juggling my job, my studies, my active mods, my homelab and smart home, and my personal pc setup (setup page soonTM) all at the same time.
and when i’m not working on any of those, i tend to spend most of my time watching youtube, listening to music, playing games and talking to my friends on discord.
ok but what do you do away from your computer?
CLEARLY NOT ENOUGH. all jokes aside, i have taken up birdwatching as a minor hobby recently and it’s been a pretty good push actually to get me to go out and just enjoy nature more, especially since i have the privilege of living basically right next to a river, some open plains and a forest.
got my B.Sc. in it in 2025 😎
where gender?
i ate it, next question!what music do you listen to?
TOO MUCH.
on a real note i listen to a lot of different music, my main playlist1 has over 200 different artists—and yes, i do listen to basically every track in there at least occasionally—but there are basically three artists i just keep coming back to a lot:
-
Fox Stevenson is by far my , i discovered him back in 2013 through someone playing Sandblast on plug.dj (remember that site? if not, here’s a primer), and then again in 2020 through his Pizza Party streams (lowkey the only good thing about lockdown). safe to say that his music has helped me through some pretty dark patches in my recent life, and i am a bit of a fan (read: total ID gremlin, cried real tears when sunk cost fallacy was finally announced, etc). uhhh idk have my two most played tracks of his because otherwise i’d be out here listing half the discography as “my favourites”:
-
then we have DROELOE, whose music i first came across thanks to my favourite YouTuber using zZz as his new outro in late 2016. every single track manages to evoke this really unique atmosphere that is honestly difficult to put a name to beyond telling people to listen for themselves. i guess the best way i could describe it is memories captured in sound, which is something that lyrically vince has also leaned into multiple times over the years and i really like! favourite tracks:
-
finally (for this list), Porter Robinson is yet another artist I have been following for a WHILE now, and whose overall vibe has just sort of stuck with me over the years. from the fantastical, almost ethereal storytelling of worlds and shelter to the more down-to-earth and inward focused songs on SMILE! :D i honestly just consistently find myself liking whatever he puts out. favourite tracks:
(1,790 plays counted by Apple Music, more than my top #2 and #3 combined)
and now for some (aka even more great music)
video game OSTs!!
yeah this is basically an immediate sign for you to never hand me the aux cord since i will just be playin’ shit, but listen! a lot of video game soundtracks really are just THAT good. special shoutouts to Toby Fox and eebrozgi here, i’m not even kidding the Void Stranger OST is like the second most played album in my library according to Apple Music (because it bangs!!)
oh i’m also gonna lump in homestuck with video game OSTs here because i didn’t wanna give it its own entry and also tricky tony contributed to a lot of tracks i like from that soundtrack as well so yeah!!
more cool songs, albums, and artists
- Lazy Cat and Underdog by EVE
- KNOWER and Louis Cole
- Annabelle Dinda – The Hand (actually, the entirety of Some Things Never Leave)
- KIRINJI – Rainy Runway ♪ step out, tho it keeps raining~ ♪
anyways, if i sat here and listed every piece of music that has changed me over the years i’d be here tomorrow so that’s it for now
(maybe i’ll make my playlist public someday tho? that could be cool!)

yeah i’m ngl, i do not play nearly as many games as i used to anymore, and i’m not entirely sure why?? i’ve never exactly been the type of person to care much for like. big budget AAA blockbuster type games, but over the past few years, i progressively found myself just playing fewer and fewer games, and instead focusing on the few experiences i do get to enjoy a lot more intensely2. maybe it’s my way of escaping choice paralysis because there’s just so much out there or maybe i’m just pickier and stingier nowadays because i have to earn my own money, who knows :p
also found i am very much a singleplayer and co-op person these days; with the exception of the occasional cs2 game with my friends, i really do not enjoy PvP and competitive games anymore, which is probably why i keep going back to games i’ve stuck with for years like minecraft (oh hey look there’s a whole page about that).
why is this website so basic?
first off, wow that’s rude get your own website and make something better nerd >:v (seriously go make your own i love looking at cool websites)
but also, i am not a web developer at all lol i used to make like two or three crusty react pages for some cash 10 years ago and that’s it. i do have some cool designs on my mind sometimes, and… maybe you’ll see them realised on this website at some point :3 (no promises tho)
hey what do you think about ai?
tl;dr, especially when it comes to coding:
remember you can use AI at any skill level, but you know its over when you stop feeling bad about it
you should feel miserable and ashamed to use it
— LatvianModder, 2026
anyways between that and what my friend Beeps has to say about the matter on their own website, i don’t think i have too much to add about this whole topic of “generative AI”, except maybe this:
- FUCK this big push towards LLMs that has caused the genuinely scientifically interesting fields of machine learning and artificial intelligence research to just stagnate. it feels like EVERYONE is banking on this ONE THING to scale infinitely and solve ALL of humanity’s problems without issue and i hate it so much because behind all of this bullshit, ML is quite honestly a very interesting field to me
even if I suck at linear algebrabecause of how it exposes the hidden patterns behind the endless deluge of information we’re exposed to in our lives. - FUCK big tech for actually just ruining my degree in general, i have genuinely thought about dropping out so many times over the past few years because half the courses are now AI/ML-adjacent and there is about a 30-40% chance any given professor has just given in to AI psychosis to some degree, which is made WORSE by the fact that my uni specifically wants to become an “excellence university in the field of AI”.
- FUCK companies that offer any form of AI solution that does your homework for you and cuts you out of the learning process completely, or lets you commit any other form of white-label plagiarism. i have worked as a tutor for almost six years now, and the amount of essays i see when grading assignments that are made to seem sound and correct and sound as vaguely science-y as possible while saying absolutely fuck all is so fucking disheartening, because even if the students didn’t have a clue as to what the “correct” answer actually is, anybody who can read could smell that these AI-generated assignments are just drivel made up by the masters of bullshitting and sophistry.
finally, FUCK YOU if you are using AI to shit out images, videos, music, written creative works, or anything else that requires some form of actual self-expression. you are in my eyes depriving yourself of your very humanity; you have the unique opportunity to share with other people your lived experience and the things that have shaped you and touched your heart, and to do so in a way only you can truly express through creating something yourself. and a major part of that creation is—unfortunately for that part of you that wants the idea to just be out there in the world already—going to be the creative process behind it. you know, the hours spent struggling to find the right words that accurately convey your emotions but still work in the context of your story?3 the 30 or so godawful vocal takes you throw away dejectedly before you finally get one you feel good about? the MONTHS and often YEARS you will spend learning and studying the absolute most basic shit in whatever medium(s) you choose to express yourself in before you finally start to feel more comfortable with it? all of that ends up being reflected in your work as well, because it along with the inspirations you picked up along the way will have changed you as a person. and ultimately, what is your work going to be if not a small part of yourself (your , if you will)?
your heart. (i’m sorry for being a weeb)
also watch Toby Fox’s speech at INDIELiveExpo NOW
…okay so i lied, maybe i do have a lot to say about generative AI. (maybe even a lot more than the rant you see above)
my point being, please keep making things that matter to you. and put your heart into them. because nobody else can do that but you. and if you are someone who’s very “goal-driven” in your thinking; someone who wants to be able to show results and who’s maybe even afraid of failing to realise things in a way you’ll be content with, first off, i’m sorry, i’m also kind of like that, and it’s hard to unlearn that because i know most jobs expect that kind of thinking from you as well, but you NEED to put yourself through the process. let yourself struggle. it’s okay. and if you need additional inspiration, have this video by Reject Convenience. now go!
Footnotes
-
which currently still lives on apple music while i’m plugging the remaining holes in my offline music library (and that’s gonna take a while); between bandcamp, qobuz, beatport and japanese music stores i have already spent about 300€ just buying the media i want to own this year and there’s still a lot i need to grab ↩
-
maybe void stranger will get a blog post someday because it’s a pretty hard sell to most people, but it’s a DAMN GOOD game and you should play it ↩
-
or your rant about creativity and genAI, for that matter. do not ask how many times this had to be rewritten i am going to cry ↩
